Examples

Here are some examples of editing photos. The first two have a color correction and have cutout filters put on them. Which would work with the ideas that everyone has about a "cartoonish" feel. However the only problem is using the cutout filter takes out detail, which could end up being necessary. I feel these photographs work well with this filter though because it shows the in focused part of the flowers and with the background being blurred already. The third photo has added contrast to allow the closer flowers to stand out better from the background as you can tell in the 4th photo it sorta all blends in together...I hope this all made sense to you all. If you have any suggestions. Comment and I'll keep up to date with recess!

Ok...

Ok so up until this point all of my artwork has been done in class. I have a lot of stuff outside of the classroom I've done, mostly photography and some photoshop stuff. I'll put that up here in the next few days. Until then comment!!! Oh and if you have any suggestions do suggest!

Final Project

I experimented with a few ideas here...they didn't completely work well together but overall my scarf came out decently.

The Trumpet

Last in class assignment

Color

I had some difficulty with this drawing

Outside the classroom

One without shading and the other with shading

Could that be Aaron?

A drawing of my friend Aaron. The assignment was not to show details

Empty

Conte crayon.

Skull

Vine charcoal with compressed charcoal

Story of a Pot

Vine charcoal again, it's supposed to be a simple piece :)

There's a radish

I used compressed charcoal.

Vegetables

A drawing done with vine charcoal.

Fruits on a ladder

This is one of my first perspective drawings, once again not one of my bests, but I'm still happy with how I started out.

Skittles

I like my concept of this, but I could've pushed it further. (Organic vs man made)
I actually want to do redo this sometime, to show the improvement, so when I do I shall post it on here.

Another beginner drawing

I'm actually quite pleased with this drawing mainly because I did this when I was first starting. Along with practice I do get better.

Curves

My first drawing project. To demonstrate our line quality. Mine isn't that good, it gets better but not by a lot.

Mirroring Shapes (Black Paper)

From left to right.
Symmetrical-non-objective, asymmetrical-non-objective, and free design.
Objective: Mirror shapes by using symmetry, asymmetry and free design.

Destroy A Square/Reassemble A Square (Black Paper)

The left one is my reassemble square. The right one is destroy a square. I was going for a pinwheel idea for the reassemble, and for the destroy I decided to destroy each individual piece and make each piece a composition of it's own.
Objective: To experiment with composition, figure/ground placement, positive and negative shapes and different kinds of shapes.

Repeat Pattern (Gouache)

Third project in foundations. The medium is gouache.
Objective: to design a repeating motif with alternating figure/ground and to practice painting

Exploring Squares (Gouache)

This is the second foundations project. It's exploring squares again, in gouache though.
Objective: To explore figure/ground relationships and to practice painting.

My Art Is Better Than Your Art

DISCLAIMER
Ok so really it may not be better than your art. However it's just a thing I have going with all of my blogs. So don't go off on a rampage when you see this and feel it's just average. Because for awhile it will, be. Especially the drawings, I just started to bear with me.
Anywho hope you enjoy!!!
